Rails and Trails

Thundering hooves, clouds of dust and tired trail cowboys come to every mind as we think about the millions of Longhorn cattle driven north to cowtowns to meet the rail road. Cowtown cowboys bring the herd into the stockyards near the Depot both days of the weekend. Rail road enthusiasts mix with drovers as they come into contact with ‘fast food’, orphan trains, model rail roads and more. Contentious gunfighters as well as dancing Saloon girls and an exhibition of railroads displays by the Wichita Toy Train club will be located in Old Cowtown.
